After spending two hours setting a possible
World Record in a rowboat,
I couldn't help but climb the rest of the way up to the summit of Mt
Evans and try some pedestrian mobile. It was a nice day at 14,260 feet.
The most interesting contact was when I finally got to talk to Mark,
KIØPF, on 17 meters for the first time ever. He lives in
southern Colorado about 70 miles away. Usually, if he and I are out
playing radio at the same time, we will ask our contacts, often on
the East Coast, to relay our greetings to each other.
Can you spot the ham in this picture?
