Hamming on Top of the World

After spending two hours setting a possible World Record in a rowboat, I couldn't help but climb the rest of the way up to the summit of Mt Evans and try some pedestrian mobile. It was a nice day at 14,260 feet. The most interesting contact was when I finally got to talk to Mark, KIØPF, on 17 meters for the first time ever. He lives in southern Colorado about 70 miles away. Usually, if he and I are out playing radio at the same time, we will ask our contacts, often on the East Coast, to relay our greetings to each other.
